The Miss South Africa mania will hit North West and the country this weekend as all eyes will be on who among the 12 hopefuls will take over from Megan Coleman.

The pageant will take place at Sun International's Sun City Resort on Saturday December 8, in the Superbowl from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

This year's Miss South Africa Pageant is not combined with Miss South Africa Teen like last year. They are two separate stage presentations in the Superbowl.

The pageant will be broadcast live on SABC2 for two hours.

The actual show promises to be the beauty pageant of the century as this year's production is guided by the celebration of 50 years of the pageant - a superb landmark of a golden anniversary. The show will touch on the nostalgia of the past decades - not only of the previous winners, but also on the fashion and music of the past with a strong sense of the present.

Five decades of fashion will be represented by legendary South African designers Marianne Fassler and Peter Soldatos. The other three designers are still to be announced.

Miss South Africa 2007 is presented by Craig Urbani and Basetsana Khumalo.

The music is a wonderful trip through the ages from the early 1950s to the present and guests will be enthralled with performances from South Africa's finest musical talent of Danny K, Obita, Loyiso's, Denim, Thabo Mndluli, Jamali and HHP.
