Mochudi Centre Chiefs have promised to stay on top of the Mascom Premier League in Botswana after winning 3-1 over Nico United at the weekend.

It was sweet revenge for Chiefs who had their hopes of winning the championship title dashed after losing 3-1 to United last season.

The star-studded Chiefs, also known as Magosi, are now perched at the top of the table with 27 points from 11 games.

United, alias Majombolo, are languishing at the bottom of the log with only seven points from the same number of games.

Elsewhere, Flamengo Santos hammered struggling Comets 4-0 in a one-sided match to consolidate second spot where they are two points behind Chiefs.

Task were also in a mean mood, walloping Mogoditshane Fighters 3-0 to move to the fourth spot on the table where they have 18 points.

Boteti Young Fighters beat Notwane 2-0, while Lobatse Gunners and Botswana Meat Commission played to a 1-1 draw.

Tafic registered a rare 3-1 over Township Rollers.

Defending champions Ecco City Green and Botswana Defence Force failed to score in their match.
