A labour department official was apparently deliberately locked up in an industrial freezer for 10 minutes while doing an inspection at a Western Cape poultry farm, the labour department said yesterday.

Spokesman Zolisa Sigabi said the incident at Zandam poultry farm appeared to have been a "deliberate move".
