George Mogotsi, Bidvest Wits' administrative manager, yesterday spoke highly of Lamontville Golden Arrows but he remains positive The Students will triumph against Abafana Bes'thende on Sunday.
The Clever Boys welcome Arrows to Milpark Stadium for an Absa Premiership engagement at 3.30pm.
"Arrows have enough depth in their team and they are not an easy side to beat. They also have a good coach in Manqoba [Mngqithi]," said Mogotsi, whose side were thumped 1-3 by Arrows in the second round of the league in Durban last season.
But Mogotsi is encouraged by the fact that they have never lost to Arrows at Milpark.
"I don't see them breaking this [streak] on Sunday," insisted Mogotsi, the man widely known as "Soekkies" in football circles.
The Students triumphed 1-0 in the first round against Arrows at this venue last season.
But Zwelethu Mzolo, the visitors' spokesman, seemed determined to end their Milpark jinx against Wits this time round.
"Our aim this season is to achieve what we failed to achieve in the past seasons. So we are going to Milpark to try and achieve what we failed to achieve at this venue," said Mzolo.
Wits welcome Dale Studzinski back from suspension but fellow forward Marco de Jesus is doubtful to start.
Roger de Sa, the hosts' coach, will also pin his hopes on David Radebe and Abram Raselemane up front.
Norman Smith and Kagiso Senamela are key forwards for Arrows, who drew 1-all against Thanda Royal Zulu in a KwaZulu-Natal derby on Wednesday night.
