The nomination process has put ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma in a better position to succeed President Thabo Mbeki. I have nothing against Zuma, but he is not presidential material.

Though innocent until proven guilty, Zuma has a dark cloud hanging over him. He might be charged for corruption because of his relationship with his jailed former financial adviser Schabir Shaik. His utterances at his rape trial did not make him look good. It exposed his disrespect for women, his morals and his poor sense of judgment.

It will be a sad day for the ANC and the country if Zuma becomes president. What example will he set for young people?

If he becomes president, the country will lose its moral standing in the world.
