The much-publicised Regina Belle concert that was scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Nasrec Exhibition Centre, Johannesburg, has been cancelled.

Initially Belle, who jetted into the country on Tuesday night with Phil Perry and Glenn Jones, was billed to perform in Cape Town and Johannesburg before going to Swaziland on Saturday.

But, the show was cancelled because they did not get a venue on time, concert promoter Sydney Zwane told Sowetan.

"We booked the wrong venue, and then we realised that it was too late to secure another one. We are honestly sorry to Regina's fans for the inconvenience," he said.

"But, those who have already bought tickets [for the Johannesburg concert] will be refunded by Ticket Connection and Mr Price shops."

Zwane said people who do not mind travelling can still use the tickets for the Swaziland concert on Saturday. The artists will perform at Mavuso Centre in Manzini.

He said the concert at the Grandwest Casino, Cape Town, was to go ahead yesterday as planned.
