She was found dead at her Pretoria West house last Friday.
Police spokesman Inspector Paul Ramakolo yesterday said Mohomane's death "was not of natural causes.
"We are investigating the matter and at this stage we cannot say more," said Ramakolo.
Mohomane, who was raised in Orlando, Soweto, was one of the seven commissioners appointed by Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa when the youth commission was established in June 2006. - Kingdom Mabuza
