The situation in Maseru, Lesotho, was stable yesterday following a rampage by traders, reported the SABC.

Traders stoned Chinese and Indian businesses in the capital on Monday in protest against a council clean-up campaign in the main street, Kingsway.

Town clerk Lebamang Tlali said the council would ensure that the city was safe for traders, some of whom had formed a committee which would liaise with the council on trading issues. - Sapa
