Open letter to Dillon Sheppard:

"Seeing your leg fractured during the game with Free State Stars traumatised me. I don't know how to explain the feeling, and immediately I thought, 'he must retire from football because he just came back from another serious injury'.

"I have watched you play since your days at Ajax Cape Town and you have always played your heart out, your face always showed your commitment to the game. You continued to show your commitment at Mamelodi Sundowns and the national team. I felt so bad seeing you getting injured that I even touched my own leg as if to feel if it was still intact. If I had my way I would say retire from football, but I doubt if you will because players like you are soldiers who are prepared to die on the field."
