Jacob Jacky Swartland, 46, was a man of many talents. Apart from his love for jazz music, he also played soccer and softball.
Swartland was born on August 10, 1961, at New Pietersburg, now called Disteneng, outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
He worked at Groothoek Hospital and was later transferred to Mankweng Hospital where he worked as head of the switchboard in 1990.
Swartland died on November 14 after a short illness. He will be buried tomorrow at Silicon Cemetery near Polokwane.
