Soul legend Diana Ross has become the latest celebrity to lose a parent in a month of big-name family tragedies - her father has died in Detroit, Michigan.
Fred Ross, 87, passed away on Tuesday just before his daughter performed at a sold-out show in Los Angeles.
The singer ended the show by telling fans of her loss. She then dedicated the title song on her new CD I Love You to her late father. Ross flew to Detroit hours later to mourn with her brother, Chico. There have been no further details about the cause of Ross' father's death.
