Spokesman Lesiba Seshoka said: "There is no work being carried out because of issues relating to wages. Workers are demanding bonuses of R2000."

He said that the NUM's coordinator, Onismus Serothwane, was in a meeting with the management of building contractor Basil Read.

"NUM is trying to resolve the matter," said Seshoka.
