A possible syndicate dealing in body parts around Clermont in Durban is investigated by police in KwaZulu-Natal.

Police believe there was a possibility that a mutilated seven-year-old boy, whose head -ess body was found two weeks ago, was killed for muti purposes.

It is believed the boy's head was going to be sold to an inyanga and that the missing testicles might have already been sold or eaten by dogs.

Investigations to establish if there is a syndicate operating in the area are in full swing and police said they expected to make some arrests soon.

Vuyani Nqulunga went missing two weeks ago and was found dumped in a veld.

His head was found in the possession of a teenager at a house not far from his home.
