South African Under-20 Women's squad Basetsana jetted-off to Germany yesterday confident of doing well in their two international friendlies this week.

The team, coached by Augustine Makalakalane, tackle Wolfburg FC in a warm-up game tomorrow.

On Wednesday, they meet the local Academy Under-19 team and wrap up their tour against the Netherlands Under-18 side on Sunday.

Fran Hilton-Smith, team manager, said yesterday the players had vowed to represent Mzansi with distinction.

A Fifa instructor and rated among the best coaches in the world football, Tina Thuene-Meyer, will hold workshops for the South Africans during their stay in Germany.

"This tour will serve as good preparation ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Mozambique and Chile next year," said Hilton-Smith.
