Lamontville Golden Arrows managing director Mandla Hodges "Rocky" Madlala died last Friday.

Madlala, 44, will be buried at the KwaGijima Cemetery in Lamontville tomorrow.

Madlala, of 2847 Khawula Street in Lamontville, died at the Parklands Clinic in Durban after a long battle with cancer.

He was not only a highly competent administrator but also a passionate football player and supporter.

Madlala cut his teeth in the game while playing for Lamontville Nylon City, Lamontville Suburbs and Formula 80 Arrows as a midfielder.

PSL life president Dr Leepile Taunyane said his organisation was deeply saddened by Madlala's passing.

"He was a man of afew words, and demonstrated his passion for the game by leaving a very successful law practice to concentrate fully on football.

"The PSL expresses its heartfelt condolences to the Madlala family, Golden Arrows and the football fraternity in KwaZulu-Natal," said Taunyane.

The service will be held at the Methodist Church at Gwala Street from 9am.

The club's PRO, Zwelethu Mzolo, said only family members and players will be allowed at the cemetery. Madlala is survived by his mother, two sisters and a nephew.
