In an historic move, the 72-man field will tee off in a curtain-raiser ahead of the prestigious 2007 Nedbank Golf Challenge.
The Affinity Cup carries a R500 000 purse and will be held at Sun City's Lost City Golf Course. the bank will donate an amount equivalent to the winner's cheque to a golf-related development project.
"By linking a worthy golfing beneficiary to the Nedbank Affinity Cup we are able to build on existing golf-related corporate social investment initiatives and invest money into the growth of the game," says Andy Scott, head of the bank's group sponsorships. - Sowetan
