Matric exams were not disrupted at a school in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, when pupils demanded the return of money paid at a no-fee school.

Education department spokesman Loyiso Pulumani said yesterday: "Protesting learners tried to vandalise the school and police were called in.

"The school has not yet received money because their financial statements have not been forwarded. The learners found out about this." - Sapa
