SuperSport United romped to a 3-1 victory over Orlando Pirates at Loftus Stadium last night.

United enjoyed homeground advantage early in this Absa Premiership match with Katlego Mphela hitting the upright in the third minute.

Three minutes later Sibonso Gaxa unleashed a 30-metre shot after Dane Klaite did well to win possession from a Pirates defender on the edge of the penalty area.

In the ninth minute Andre Arendse made a vital save from Rudzani Ramudzuli. The veteran keeper also denied Bennett Chenene in the 30th minute after he was set up by Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi.

The second half started with more offensive play from Bucs.

Twelve minutes from time they won a free kick and Teko Modise beat Arendse to bring Pirates onto level terms.

However two minutes later Bongani Mahlangu connected with Dennis Masina's corner to restore United's lead.

On the stroke of full time a lack of concentration allowed Shane Poggenpoel to send a through pass to Katlego Mashego who slotted past Francis Chansa.

lBlack Leopards continued with their inconsistent display this season when they went down 0-1 to Bloemfontein Celtic at Giyani Stadium, writes Mcelwa Nchabeleng.

Celtic's resilience paid off when they forced Leopards' Luvhengo Mungomeni to score a beautiful own goal in the 41st minute.

Goals once more eluded Jomo Cosmos when they drew 0-0 with Santos at Mehlareng Stadium in Tembisa, writes Sello Rabothata.
