Jomo Cosmos should brace themselves for a hard-running game when they tackle draw specialists Santos in a Premiership game at the Mehlareng stadium in Tembisa this afternoon.
Kickoff is at 3.30pm.
Only one point separates the two sides who are languishing in the relegation zone. Visitors Santos are 14th with eight points and hosts Cosmos are in 15th position with seven points, with eight games gone so far.
While Cosmos believe they cannot take things easy, the management and players are not under any pressure, according to the club's website.
The only concern at the moment is that three players, Sydney Plaatjies, Sammy Magalefa and Lucky Mhlathe, who are all mainly midfielders- cum-defenders, are suspended, team manager Andrew Rabutla said.
"That is not a problem, though, as we have other just as capable players in Wycliff Kambonde, Gerard Mtshali and others who can easily plug the gap created by the suspensions," he said.
Santos are on a high of their own after holding defending champions and Telkom Knockout finalists Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-all draw in their last league encounter a fortnight ago.
Chief executive Edries Burton said it's going to be a tough game as neither side can afford to drop points.
"Our games against Cosmos are always tough. Our latest performances are looking like we are on the right track and that's encouraging," he said.
