Mahwelereng Spikes proved their title credentials when they reclaimed their top spot in the Limpopo Softball Association's LimDev Super League log at the weekend.

They walloped Mashite Eagles 19-1 in a lopsided clash, before beating rivals Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts 6-2 in their league matches in Mahwelereng on Sunday.

The Snakes are leading the pack with 27 points from nine matches.

Wildbeasts, on the other hand, are fourth in the standings, trailing Spikes by nine points from the same number of matches.

Seleteng Giant Killers, who were not playing this weekend, remain second on 24 points but have a game in hand.

Moletlane Texas are third on 21 points and the way the top three teams on the log have been playing so far this season, could see the title race going down to the wire.

Other results:

Wildbeasts 27, Eagles 0; Mamaolo Rebels 20, Hlakano Dodgers 6; Rebels 11, Cannons 2; Cannons 3, Dodgers 0
