Many young South Africans wish to study but are prevented from doing so because they lack funds. What can they do?

One option is to apply for a bursary. Most universities will tell you about the bursaries that are available for the courses you wish to study.

Another option is to apply for a student loan from a bank, which you will have to repay after graduation. Depending on the bank, you can use the money from your student loan for your tuition fees, text books and accommodation.
