Black bosses treat domestics like slaves

I live in Orchards, north of Pretoria, and am deeply concerned about the treatment of domestic workers by their black "masters" as they like to call themselves.

I live in Orchards, north of Pretoria, and am deeply concerned about the treatment of domestic workers by their black "masters" as they like to call themselves.

Domestic workers are treated like modern day slaves, and worse than under apartheid. They work long hours, are paid very little and never on time.

The government must intervene because domestic workers' human rights are being abused.

With the festive season approaching, most workers will get bonuses, but I'm sure most of the "masters" will not reward these poor women.

Giving a worker a room in their homes does not give employers the right to abuse them. These women leave their families in distant places and it is not by choice that they are domestic workers. It is inhumane to take advantage of these people.
