In trying to showcase the rich and best talent in Mzansi, Sheer Sound Recording Company will stage a music show.

Known as Sheer Summer Sounds, the event will take place at Bassline in Newtown on November 16 and 17.

In a bid to showcase the stable's talented musicians, Sheer Summer Sounds will present an exciting line-up. On Friday, November 16, the show starts with Tidal Waves, Kwani Experience, Lesego and Mina Nawe.

On Saturday, music lovers will see artists such as Phinda Mtya, Jaziel Brothers, Ernie Smith and Jeff Maluleke performing live.

Mtya, who has just released her new offering, will give music lovers a taste of the new album. Mtya, a member of musical group Mahube, is one of the most talented local artists.

Mahube featured legends like Steve Dyer and Oliver Mtukudzi.

Ernie Smith, who had disappeared from the Gauteng music scene for some time, will be announcing his return in style.

Another interesting performer that you can look forward to is Lesego. The singer, who released his album Afrika - Viva Tau last year, is a marvel to watch. With his exiting music fusing Afro-pop, traditional African styles, R&B and soul, Lesego is going far.

Tickets cost R40 at the door, and the show starts at 7pm.

The concept is made possible by Kaya fm, Sowetan and Sunday World.
