German car maker Mercedes-Benz does not seem to rest when it comes to improving its products.
The marque has recently introduced the sports package for its popular SLK.
The SLK set up a new market segment that has enjoyed exceptionally rapid growth. Thanks to the unique vario-roof, which turns the two-seater into a coupe in a matter of seconds. The roadster continues to be the inspiration for many open-top cars.
This innovative roof technology has been adopted by many car makers for their cabriolets and roadsters.
The new sports package is easily distinguished from the standard SLK model, with a number of exciting new features, including the front headlamps with a partially painted cover frame. Most notable is the sports suspension and 17-inch 6 twin-spoke light-alloy wheels.
The stylish AMG spoiler lip on the boot lid adds to the aggressive stance of the SLK sports roadster.
The black leather seats and door armrests are finished with red top- stitching and the seat belts can be ordered with either a red or black belt strap.
The shift or selector lever is finished in black leather with leatherette bellows and red topstitching, as is the leather steering wheel.
To further enhance the sporty look, the instrument cluster features illuminated red indicator needles.
Further luxury styling comes in the form of black velour mats with red edging, while the roof lining and rear-window frame are finished in stylish black.
