KwaZulu-Natal's readiness to host a successful 2010 Fifa preliminary draw will come under the spotlight tomorrow.

The provincial government will host a two-day soccer indaba at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre. About 400 delegates will discuss business opportunities in the province during the world tournament.

Premier Sbu Ndebele said: "It is very important for us to ensure that all spheres of government in the province work as a team as we prepare to host 2010."

He said that the meeting is being held only weeks before KwaZulu-Natal welcomes the world for the Fifa preliminary draw on November 25.

"KwaZulu-Natal is proud to host the first official 2010 event, which will see 3000 delegates from 204 countries come to our shores," Ndebele said.

Santaco president Jabulani Mthembu said that the taxi industry was undergoing restructuring.

"This would allow us to provide transport in the build-up, during, and beyond 2010."
