Thugs will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Criminals raided the Interdenominational Church in Christ in Extension 7 in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, on the last day of a three-day conference and got away with a set of music instruments and pots.

The conference started on Friday evening.

The thieves hit the venue early on Sunday morning just after all the members had gone to sleep.

The last members left the church building shortly after 1am on Sunday, church officials said.

A church committee member, Albert Muthavhatsindi, said: "We only noticed the burglary on Sunday morning."
