N'DJAMENA - Three French journalists and four Spanish flight attendants accused in the case of a French charity which tried to take 103 children out of Chad were expected to be released from custody yesterday.

"The three journalists and four Spanish flight attendants, since they did not realise the situation and since Eric Breteau (head of Zoe's Ark charity) has exonerated them... and there is no reason to keep them in detention," a judicial source said.

"Consequently, there is going to be a partial lifting of the warrant (against the seven) and they will be released." - Sapa-AFP
