DJ Cleo behaved very badly and should apologise

As a journalism student, I think DJ Cleo's behaviour during a 5fm interview was very unprofessional.

As a journalism student, I think DJ Cleo's behaviour during a 5fm interview was very unprofessional.

We all heard Cleo saying that Arthur Mafokate had plagiarised his material. He said that Mafokate had stolen the beat on his song, Sesi ng'hamba nawe.

Okay, Mafokate might have stolen Cleo's work, but then Cleo should have done the proper thing and followed the copyright procedure.

Instead, he assaulted the former king of kwaito through the media. During the interview, Cleo urged music lovers not to buy Mafokate's new album because he had done all the hard work. He defamed Mafokate by referring to him as Martha Mokate.

Cleo my man, you are a role model to the young generation who look up to you. I urge you to be professional because you are a public figure.

You should apologise to the public because of your insulting statement to Mafokate on air.

Euphonic, the host, said he would invite the two to the studio to explain to the public who stole what from whom.

But Cleo said there was no way that he would appear on 5fm with "Martha".

Cleo said: "He should go and rest if he fails to entertain people with his own sound or he must settle down with Chommie or whoever."

I think Cleo should apologise to the nation for what he said on 5fm.
