I am really devastated about the circumstances that led to the passing of Lucky Dube. What upset me more is that he was killed by foreigners.

Immigration control is crucial in the fight against crime in South Africa. It is high time that the government acts.

Most foreigners come here to get married because they want IDs and other benefits.

The government should stop thinking that it has a duty to solve the problems of Africa at the expense of South Africans.

Foreigners should wait at least 10 years before they get IDs, irrespective of whether they are married to locals or not. The government must stop apologising for protecting its own people.

Suspended home affairs staff who issued illegal documents should be rehired and must pay back to society by identifying the people to whom they issued documents.

Other locals who played a part in the illegal marriage scam for ID purposes should be granted amnesty and also be encouraged to spill the beans.

This will expose millions of illegal foreigners and would reduce ID and credit card fraud, illegal gun possession, drug trafficking and so on.

South Africa must protect its own people and country or foreigners will do as they please, as they already are.
