The kaleidoscope of colour will include South Africans of all hues brimming with patriotism and national pride.

But, alas, a look at the team that had us screaming in joy and beating our chests as one nation, in a true spirit of Simunye, will be a stark reminder that our rugby has yet to fully embrace the country's transformation agenda.

Many excuses have been proffered as to why the Springboks remain essentially a white team, something akin to cocking a snook at nation-building.

It's about time rugby tackled its racism demons and reciprocated the goodwill shown it by the black majority.
