The security company operating at Seshego Hospital in Limpopo needs to tighten its security.
Four members of the hospital management were shot dead last Friday with a gun a dismissed employee had allegedly grabbed from a security officer.
Provincial department of health spokesman, Phuti Seloba, said: "If our investigation shows that the security company needs security more than the facility, we will not hesitate to show them the door."
After being served with a letter of dismissal, the suspect allegedly went to the hospital gate and asked a security officer to lend him a gun.
When the officer refused, he allegedly grabbed the weapon and went back into the hospital where he shot the four victims in their offices.
The suspect was apparently taking revenge for his dismissal after killing a person in a hit-and-run accident in June while driving a state vehicle.
He will appear in the Seshego magistrate's court today
