Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula has denied seeing copies of the warrant of arrest issued for national police commissioner Jackie Selebi.

During a heated question-and- answer session in the national assembly yesterday he said he did not know what the charges were .

Nqakula's response was met with scepticism by DA spokesman Dianne Kohler-Barnard, who said it was "incredible" he would not know about something so serious and accused him of misleading parliament. An upset Nqakula asked that action be taken against her.

Nqakula added that he had never said Selebi was innocent. - Waghied Misbach
