A number of women who cannot conceive have now resorted to desperate measures to save their relationships.

A number of women who cannot conceive have now resorted to desperate measures to save their relationships.

On Monday we published a story of an 18-month-old baby who was reunited with her mother. The suspect, who is barren, told police she stole the baby to save her marriage.

There have been similar incidences recently.

We sympathise with women who cannot have children. But they should not cause misery by stealing these valuable gifts from mothers who have gone through so much.

They should rather enter into agreements with their partners to adopt from hundreds of babies who have been abandoned by their parents.

This would benefit society as a whole.
