The Johannesburg Metro Police Department has warned that more roadblocks will be held in the Johannesburg area as the festive season draws nearer.

JMPD spokesman Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said they would do all they could to ensure motorists adhere to the traffic safety rules.

"More roadblocks will be held to intensify law enforcement," he said.

"We are also working together with the SAPS to reduce accidents and crime-related incidents."
