Galant Seleteng Giant Killers did not only claim the top spot in the LimDev Super League on Sunday, but also proved their potential to wear the crown this season.

Killers, who are guided by the wily Sello "Zoro" Rampedi, made their intentions of winning the league title this season clear with a 10-0 demolition of Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts in one of the five matches played at Seleteng diamonds in GaMphahlele on Sunday.

Derrick Mahapa, Wildbeasts' technical coach, should be disappointed wherever he is after he promised that his side would tear Killers into shreds in this encounter.

Killers went into what was expected to be a thriller against Wildbeasts oozing confidence after their 13-1 massacre of Mashite Eagles in a GaMphahlele derby early in the day.

Wildbeasts, mentored by veteran coach Vincent Seteno, were also buoyed going into their encounter against Killers after they whipped the inconsistent Seshego Cannons 8-1 in their opening match.

Cannons, however, took advantage of Sebayeng Sharks' rookie status when they trounced them 10-3.

Sharks, who have managed three points from a possible 24, also suffered their second setback on the day, going down 2-4 to Eagles in a closely fought tie.

Killers are leading the pack with 21 points from seven games, while former leaders Moletlane Texas are second on 18.

Texas, who are yet to taste defeat this season, did not play at the weekend and have a game in hand.

Defending champions Mahwe- lereng Spikes are third, but are level on nine points tied with Wildbeasts, who are fourth .

Irish "Coffee" Mphahlele, Killers' brand manager, has said his team will claim the league title this season. But it will not be an easy task.
