A committed and dedicated cadre, Dilebo was a hard worker whose main objective was to improve the standard of living of the people of Ehlanzeni.

Her leadership qualities where recognised by the ANC, which over the years, entrusted her with various positions.

She started school at Arthurseat Primary School in 1974 and later attended Senone Secondary School where she matriculated in 1985. The following year she joined Chabalang High School in Leboeng as a private teacher and was very popular.

She later taught at Motlamogale Primary School, also as a private teacher.

In 1992 she enrolled for a teacher's diploma at the Mpumalanga College of Education, where she became a member of the students representative council. She helped launch the Congress of South African Teachers in Bushbuckridge in 1996 and became deputy secretary.

She became a local councillor in 2001 and joined the Bohlabela district mayoral committee. She was elected speaker of the Ehlanzeni district municipality last year.

Dilebo is survived by her children Hugo and Harvey, and five sisters.

The service for her funeral starts at 7am tomorrow at her home and she will be buried at Ehlanzeni cemetery.
