Orlando Pirates development teams have qualified for the finals in all seven categories of the Safa Rand Central Cup.

The finals for the under-12s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 16s and under-17s will be played at the University of Johannesburg (Old Wits Technikon) tomorrow.

"This is a great achievement for Pirates to reach the finals in all the categories," said Augusto Palacios, Pirates' technical director.

"It shows there is something good that the players and technical staff have been doing since the beginning of the year."

Palacios also announced that they had already started doing an assessment of all the deve- lopment players in the academy as part of their preparations for 2008.

Some of the youngsters will be released from the academy because of ill-discipline.

"As for the Augusto Palacios Apprentice Academy, we have started with the 2008 registrations.

"Parents can register their boys and girls on Wednesday and Saturday.

"Our officials will be at Arthur Block sports grounds in Mayfair on Wednesdays between 11am and 5pm; 9am to noon on Saturdays."
