Zola Primary School has pulled off a huge surprise by hitting a rugby hat trick.

This is after qualifying for three finals in the inaugural Soweto Primary Schools Rugby League tournament billed for the Roodepoort Rugby Club grounds today.

The Zola side pulled off the coup in the semifinals of the competition yesterday.

In the Under-12 division, Zola beat Lukholweni 15-7 and went on to edge King Zwelithini 10-0 in the Under-11s and 26-0 in the U-13 division.

"My boys are eager to sweep the boards tomorrow [today],'' said Paseka Mavimbela, Zola's happy coach, yesterday.

Today's finals:

Zola v Zwelithili (U-11); Zola v Zwelithili (U-12); Zola v Thathani (U-13).
