The PSL has praised Safa for giving them the selected Bafana Bafana players for the Cosafa Cup final, saying it will not disrupt the Telkom Knockout quarterfinals.
The final against the Chris "Tsunami" Katongo-led Chipolopolo of Zambia will be played at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on October 24.
Andrew Dipela, PSL general manager, said: "The organising committee had a meeting to discuss the issue of venues and dates for the quarterfinals.
"We are also delighted that Safa were able to give us the selected Bafana Bafana list in advance, we had to look at the list in deciding on the dates and venues.
"For instance, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs each have four players selected for that game, that is why they could not play their fixtures on Thursday [October 25].
"Our initial plan was to start with the quarterfinals on October 24, but it changed after a meeting with Bafana Bafana representatives."
Dipela said the first quarterfinal will feature AmaZulu and Bloemfontein Celtic at Chatsworth Stadium at 7.30pm on October 25.
"The plan was to take the game to King Zwelithini Stadium but we received a report raising several safety concerns about the venue,' he said. "We don't want to take chances. We also could not have Free State Stars and Jomo Cosmos play in Goble Park on October 25.
"We could not play that game at night because Goble Park does not have floodlights. The same applies to Charles Mopeli Stadium, which is Stars' alternative venue."
On October 26, Sundowns welcome the rejuvenated Benoni Premier United at Loftus in Tshwane at 8pm in what is expected to be a thriller.
The following day at Goble Park, Free State Stars take on Cosmos at 3pm in a game that Ea lla Koto boss Mike Mokoena described as war.
On October 28, Chiefs take on SuperSport United at 3.30pm to decide the last team for the semifinals.
