Afro-pop queen Kelly "The Virgin" Khumalo burst into tears after she was left stranded by her fiancée, Prosper Mkwaiwa.

Mkwaiwa mysteriously disappeared during the Queen of Dance Summer Tour party held at the Backroom in Soweto on Tuesday night.

This drama unfolded after Khumalo, pictured, deli-vered a splendid performance that wowed the crowds.

Sowetan overhead a visibly upset and tearful Khumalo talking on the phone, shouting: "Where are you? Why do you always do this to me? Stop calling me. I don't want to talk to you," before hanging up the phone.

When Sowetan asked her what was wrong, Khumalo wiped off her tears and said: "It's a personal matter. I don't want to talk about it. I'm fine."

She was latter comforted by her close friend and actress, Lucia Mthiyane. A source close to the situation said Khumalo was angry because Mkwaiwa disappeared with one of Khumalo's dancers.

When Sowetan asked him about this when he came back later to the venue to look for Khumalo, Mkwaiwa deli-vered a different version of the events.

"I did not disappear with a dancer. I went to drop all dancers home. She has been shouting at me on the phone. I do not know what is happening. I did not do anything wrong."

Before Mkwaiwa came back, Sowetan saw Khumalo leaving the venue in a BMW with an unknown man.
