Simpson was ordered to relinquish his Rolex watch to satisfy a multi-million dollar civil suit that found him liable for the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman.
But it was revealed it was a knock-off bought from China, worth R684.
Goldman's family lawyer, David Cook, said: "While we are clearly disappointed with the outcome, this tells us that collecting on this judgment against this guy, is really tough."
