Will the Bulls come back victorious when they meet the Cheetahs in the semifinal of a Absa Currie Cup in Bloemfontein on Saturday?.

This question comes after the Tshwane lot succumbed 29-17 to the Free Staters in the last round of the competition at Loftus on Friday night.

By virtue of clinching fourth spot on the log, the Bulls will travel to Free State to face their rivals Cheetahs, who topped this year's log standings. Kickoff is at 5pm

The Bulls will have to go for broke if they hope to upset their in-form counterparts on home soil.

Rugby experts believe this game will be dubbed the final before the final because both teams were last year's joint winners after their nailbiting game ended in a 28-28 draw.

Looking for a closing win at home, the Bulls played their hearts out on the slippery pitch and they took an 11th minute lead through Derick Hougaard's penalty.

But this did not deter the Cheetahs who gradually found their rhythm and ultimately took dominance midway through the first half. They led 15-3 at the break.

l The Sharks will welcome the Lions in the second semifinal in Durban in a 2.30pm kickoff.

Both sides registered convincing wins on Saturday with the Sharks beating the Falcons 43-29 in Durban while the Lions drubbed the Boland Kavaliers 75-0.
