Will it be the fifth time lucky for underdogs Eastern Province, who will be meeting hot favourites the Bulls in the final of the Women's Interprovincial League A Section in East London tomorrow.

The underdogs have lost four times to the holders from Pretoria in the final of the same competition since 2003.

Eric Songwiqi, Eastern Province's coach, said they were prepared to shoot the high-riding Bulls down this time round and win the elusive, lucrative trophy.

"The lasses are physically and mentally fit and are looking forward to wrestle the crown that has been eluding them for so long, come Saturday. We have corrected our mistakes that led us to a close 13-16 loss to the same team in the first round of the league,'' said a confident Songwiqi.

Preceding this senior tie, will be the B-division encounter between the KwaZulu-Natal team and Free State at 2.10pm.

Mahlubi Puzi, manager of game development in women's rugby and sevens, said: "This will be an opportunity for both teams to showcase and impress the selectors.''

Denver Wannies, the sevens coach and the national women's selector, Pedru Meyer, have confirmed their attendance.

The final starts at 3.30pm.
