I've read with interest the stories about homosexuality in Sowetan this week. Your reports and investigations have been very informative.

As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I am very impressed by what drives people to do what they do.

People should read your reports with an open mind so that we can talk openly about these behaviours and speak sense to our children.

What excited me most was your report about Pastor Agrippa Khathide who spoke on behalf of pastors. He explained that we are not anti-gay and lesbian, but that because the word of God is against homosexuality, we as God's agents will stick to His word.

It is amazing that international singer, Pastor Donnie McClurken, has admitted to being gay.

It gives us hope that if we pray and counsel our children and continue to trust and believe in God, things can become normal again.

I strongly believe in informing people because preaching the gospel is not about wanting to change people, but to allow them to make the right choices in life.

As pastors, we cannot discriminate against people because of their sexual orientation because God loves us all. But we must shun those practises that the Bible, which is the true word of God, commands us to.
