This came to pass last week when the spirits of about 120 South African cadres were collected from their graves in Tanzania and symbolically laid to rest at Isivivane, a sacred place in Freedom Park, Pretoria.
The government should be lauded for its efforts in recognising the role played by cadres who died in exile. This goodwill, however, should be extended to all countries where the spirits of other fallen South African struggle heroes can also be fetched.
This will help bring closure to the pain suffered for so long by their families.
