But the same old faces who were embroiled in disunity make up the new executive.

Our relief that there is light at the end of the tunnel was quickly quashed by the realisation that this unity is nothing but a rehash of the past.

Nafcoc was once the nation's pride. It showed how black people survived under the harsh realities of apartheid. Leaders such as Sam Motsuenyane, Mapudi Phasha and others were the pathfinders who put black business on the map despite the exclusionist, legal framework within which it operated.

So when people turn Nafcoc into an embarrassment, it hurts. It is very painful that Nafcoc in Limpopo has not made any meaningful intervention to benefit local black business, despite numerous opportunities in the province.

Patrice Motsepe made a thorough and decisive intervention to redeem Nafcoc. Thanks to his team's vision, he succeeded in repositioning and revitalising the organisation into a business giant. We in Limpopo are very disappointed with Nafcoc in our province.

The founding fathers must pump sense into all of us to stop advancing personal interests and so destroying a group that is truly South African.
