There is an argument in softball circles in Limpopo that Moletlane Texas are at the summit of the LimDev Super League log because they have not yet been tested this term.

They now face that test and their toughest opponents in Seleteng Giant Killers, who they host at Moletlane diamonds in Zebediela on Sunday.

They meet in the last match of the day at 3pm and spectators should expect a thrill-a-minute affair as the two antagonists play a fantastic brand of softball.

Both teams are unbeaten so far this season, but their meeting on Sunday,if it is not drawn, will see one of them defeated. And it is highly likely to be the hosts.

Texas lead the pack on 18 points, six more than second-placed Killers who have played two matches fewer than the leaders.

The hosts, who are coached by the underrated Nick Mahlakola, should easily beat mid-table University of Limpopo in the opening tie at 10am. Killers, who are under the mentorship of Sello Rampedi, should also win against bottom side Seshego Raiders.

Raiders will also engage new boys Sebayeng Sharks at 12.30pm. Sharks also have a date with University at 3pm.
