Two policemen from QwaQwa yesterday appeared in the Tseki magistrate's on rape charges.

Alex Ndobela, a sergeant, and Francis Khake, both aged 40, are accused of raping, attempting to rape and indecently assaulting two 15-year-old girls.

The girls had gone to Tseki police station to submit summons from court that police were to serve on their elder sister who they had accused of misusing their grants.

The two policemen had accompanied the girls but instead of taking them home afterwards, they took them to the police station where Ndobela allegedly raped them while Khake also attempted to rape them.

The case was postponed to October 8.
