The Sony Fevapitch, a five-a-side soccer tournament series, will take place in Cape Town at the Camps Bay sports fields on Saturday and Sunday.

Thirty eight teams will compete in the tournament, which started last weekend as part of the entertainment company's 2010 World Cup awareness campaign.

The inaugural games took place in Southgate last weekend. Soccer greats such as Steve Crowley, Edward Motale, Doctor Khumalo, Neil Tovey, Marc Batchelor, Mark Williams and Mark Fish have been roped in.

The winning team will qualify for the national finals scheduled for the Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton from November November 27 and 28. There will also be exhibition games featuring staff from the Local Organising Committee, media people and actors.

The tournament will move to Durban on November 24 and 25, which will also form part of the 2010 World Cup preliminary draw festivities. It will run yearly until 2010.
