The KwaZulu-Natal government will soon embark on a campaign to get pupils off the province's streets and out of its shopping malls during school hours.

This was announced by Premier S'bu Ndebele during a cabinet indaba in Pennington on the south coast. The campaign would be carried out in shopping malls frequented by pupils. The campaign aims to stop them loitering in uniform during school hours.

"We will put them in the back of a police van and drop them off at their respective schools. We will deal with their parents and teachers afterwards," Ndebele said. - Canaan Mdletshe
